COVID-19

June 9, 2020

Last Sunday, I photographed an anti-racist protest in Montreal, it seems that it is spreading all over the western countries, it reminds me of the Tunisian people when they rose up against the dictatorship in 2011, after a few months the majority of Arab countries revolted demanding democracy and social equality… at least the people have benefited from a single advantage of globalization: collaborate better to defend good causes.

and finally, I will back home July 1st 🙂

Hello,

We are sorry but we must refuse your request to shoot at Notre-Dame hospital.

Have a good day.

This is a standard email that I received from hospitals here in Montreal, after several attempts to access

the hospitals and requests to cover the COVID crisis. Thus I decided to focus on photographing the city.

Two days ago my wife had a severe fever so she called the COVID center, according to the symptoms the doctor confirmed that she has the virus. My daughter Fayrouz and I don’t have the symptoms until now, we’re in quarantine in a separate room. next week they will come for the test.
